Crane Fly (mating)

Nephrotoma sp.

Description:

Like a large mosquito and often almost gets swatted! This one has iridescence on its wings. Orangish. Spotted thorax.

Habitat:

Belun eco resort near Katwa in West Bengal. Large tracts of riverside land let untouched so that nature runs a bit wild.

Notes:

The reference I have given is from the same District.
