Daphnis nerii
Hi April! Please can you add the scientific name so that we can take this off of the "unknown" list & add a link (wikipedia etc) to the references. Because we have a global user base & sometimes many different common names for the same species, the system will continue to show a spotting as unidentified until the scientific name has been completed.
"I like it so much. I am very happy to see it here.Last year, I have taken more than 100 photos of the same in different actions. I will show some of them soon."
Alien? Nah, it looks more like a vertebrate Embryo. Lets say Human embryo in its first Trimester. :)
Locally they call this one Mariposa when they transform to adults. Used to have a lot of these especially in the summer. They fly down from the mountains. Nowadays, it's a rarity to see one fly down the backyard. Maybe because of urbanization of the local towns.
I had some thing like this bug on my apple tree. They turn in to a huge butterfly! Great pic!
