Kalanchoe sp.

Kalanchoe sp. possibly fedtschendtkoi.

Description:

This a succulent plant. The stem and branches are in the second photo with the praying mantis. Native to Madagascar.

Habitat:

Dry areas, though it doesn't mind rain.

Notes:

The flower is a hangout for spiders and praying mantises. The rain catches in the leaves and funnels the water to the plant. Also called the Devil's backbone. Native to Madagascar. Started on eHow Home and went in search of species.

from the brief view of the leaves, I would say it looks like a species of Kalanchoe.
