The red flowers are coming from the aloe. Lots of plants, including the aloe in the picture, are called red-hot pokers; that's why scientific names are so helpful!

Red hot poker refers to Kniphofia uvaria, not a species of aloe. To me it's kind of unclear if the red flowers are actually coming from the Aloe itself.
