Fact is, I never revealed the exact location of this turtle. On public records I only go down to county level, but when I type in "Fairfield County" it shows up as "Fairfield, CT" (which is not where this turtle was found, by the way). Even so, I have studied a population of eastern box turtles for a few years now and the exact location will never be revealed to the general public.
You can obscure the location of the spotting by editing the name of the county (instead of the city/town) into the location box. Click on Search. You'll also need to move the Google location marker via the mouse away from its current location if the search does not do so for you. There is no need to delete the entire spotting. Mark, thank you for your concern about this species.
