A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Anacridium Aegyptium
This one was around 2 inches in length, so possibly a large male or a small female. Distinctive characteristics for identification is stripes running vertically around its eye and the deep orange on its underside.
This one flew into an olive tree in our next door neighbours garden. We live on a site with several houses, on the side of a mountain with many olive groves and pine trees around us.
