Egyptian Locust

Anacridium Aegyptium

Description:

This one was around 2 inches in length, so possibly a large male or a small female. Distinctive characteristics for identification is stripes running vertically around its eye and the deep orange on its underside.

Habitat:

This one flew into an olive tree in our next door neighbours garden. We live on a site with several houses, on the side of a mountain with many olive groves and pine trees around us.
