Located in a remnant prairie in Cook County, IL. Flowers will stay put when you move them to the left or right, hence the plants name.
Remnant Prairie.
The prairie is known for having the layout of a subdivision (including sidewalks) whose development was stopped due to the great depression. The plant was around 1.5 meters off a sidewalk. My grandmother calls this plant Disobedient because when you put it in your garden it spreads like crazy....I planted a small section of it and now have a 4X5 garden full of it. The bees love this stuff!
Pretty neat shot...looks like a bee condo.
HA! I wrote this and glanced up at your notes...it truly seems like an insect condo.
