Juvenile stage of the black vulture has a creamy white colored fuzz. The last adult feathers are the ones around the neck bordering the bald/skin head. Turkey vulture juveniles have a yellow fuzz and the red head is grayish until mature. This bird is an adult and had just finished playing with an over ripe orange. All vultures ate incredibly smart and curious, but of the new world vultures black vultures seem to be more brazen and les spooked by human activities around them
