Sri Lankan green pit viper

Trimeresurus trigonocephalus

Description:

A moderately venomous pit viper species endemic to Sri Lanka.A nocturnal sluggish arboreal snake it occupies grasslands and rainforests.When threatened it vibrates its tail forms a sinuous loop with the forebody and lashes out bite.Feed on rodents frogs and birds.
