Scrub Hare

Lepus saxatilis

Description:

Do you think it looks scared? It was hidden behind a guideboard in the park. If you wanna know the reason, please look at the second picture, & look for the nearly invisible little thing on the right hand side...it was just chased by the Tawny Eagle seconds before!!! It is lucky that the eagle was shaved off by a pair of Lapwing parents nearby (I dunno why small birds often wins) before the eagle found it~~

Notes:

Actually I can't distinguish it from Cape Hare, they are crazily so similar and with dozens of subspecies and with overlapped habitats....if anyone can help...
