Red Signal crayfish, now considered to be quite a problem for British waters as it threatens the survival of native crayfish and eats fry/ small fish. The order is to kill on site. This chap was covered in thick clay from the lakebed.

I found this chap whilst fishing, he hung-on to my bait when I reeled in from well over 70 metres away!

He's no longer with us. The water I was fishing also traps for them and insists that any caught are killed, as humanely as possible though.
He was very pinchy, we let him roam around on the bank for a while.
Apparently they taste really good and have a decent amount of meat in them
Yeah, those guys have done some damage to our own crayfish. Did you end up killing it, or did you let him go?
