Radiated Tortoise

Description:

Truly a beautiful specimen. Named for the brilliant yellow stripes radiating on their shells. These can grow between 12 and 16 inches with females usually being a few inches longer than males. Foods of choice are fruits or succulents.

Habitat:

This beauty is currently living in captivity at the Tulsa Zoo. In natural setting, these are only occur in southern Madagascar. Currently the species is critically endangered due to loss of habitat.
