Hey Gordon, I just read your messages and I am going to try and look up your suggestions - I was out in the garden for the first time turning soil - disturbed the spiders. But it is also finally getting warm and I think they are all getting hungry. Thanks for the links - I'll let you know

Another jumping spider! There's been lots of those posted lately. There are hundreds of species of jumping spiders, but this one may be Habronattus viridipes. See http://bugguide.net/node/view/18310 and see if you agree.
