Cyanocitta cristata

Description:

12" Bright blue above with much white and black in the wings and tail.

Habitat:

Chiefly oak forest, but also seen in city parks and suburban yards.

Notes:

A nice looking bird, but loud and does not seem to like others birds nesting near its feeding area. (Witnessed one removing sparrow chicks from the nest.)
