Simple is elegant in the world of the postman. Supposedly named for their resemblance to postage envelope the vivid red and yellow stripes indicates its toxicity.

Habitat:

Central america to Brazil, postman caterpillars prefer passionflower leaves.

Notes:

Bears ressemblance to the Heliconius erato butterfly but has a smaller stripe. This individual was at a local zoo
