Description:

Striped cucumber beetle on muskmelon.

Habitat:

These beetles feed on all cucurbits, such as muskmelon, cucumber pumpkin and watermelon.

Notes:

They transmit the disease bacterial wilt to cucumber and muskmelon. Pumpkins are susceptible to this disease at an early age as well. In the photo it is possible to see fras (feces) and feeding damage on the leaf.
