Asian Koels male (video)

Description:

Glossy black, slender with ruby eyes...these two males were having a very verbal duel early in the morning. The video shows their posturing. These birds visit me for the food I put out. Bananas mostly. Breakfast hadn't been served...so they woke me up with their calls (you can hear it in the video).

Habitat:

From my rooftop terrace. Usually I used to see one male chasing away the other. Today they sang their threats and did a great deal of posturing while sitting on the cable wires/electrical lines.
