Whitebar Surgeonfish

Acanthurus leucopareius

Description:

These fish were dark colored with vertical white stripes on their face and tail. They were fairly large.

Habitat:

They were on a coral reef near the edge.

Notes:

All these fish appeared on the reef around sunset, possibly to feed, but when I was there they were still hovering near the deep water.
