Eastern Cottontail bunny

Sylvilagus floridanus

Notes:

I found this bun pinned by my cat. Although I'll probably regret it when it eats my garden, I had to save it since my daughter was watching. It had a small wound on it's leg, so I kept it overnight for observation. The next morning it hopped away as if nothing had happened.

Great story! I love successful releases! I am even more surprised that it survived the night. Baby rabbits are notorious for passing on even after the slightest injury, (due to the fright of the situation they tend to go into cardiac failure).
