Medium Green-Banded Swallowtail

Description:

Papilio sosia, the Medium green-banded swallowtail, is a butterfly of the Papilionidae family. It is found in the Afrotropical ecozone. According to wiki, the sub-species found in Uganda is P. s. debilis.

Habitat:

We stopped the car beside the road after going over a bridge. There was a marshy areal beside the river and this butterfly was nectaring at the flowers there.

Notes:

I think this is near the place where I saw this butterfly. It was between Kyumburo Gorge and Ishasha NP closer to Ishasha NP.
