Moth

Description:

Dirty ivory white with a black collar around the head. Dark patches on top of forewings and a wavy design in yellow.

Habitat:

Neora Valley Jungle Camp. Remote Himalayan foothills. Lots of trees and weedy vegetation. Apart from a few homestays that are downhill from this resort, there is no electricity anywhere...so even one light bulb of low wattage attracts the moths. In the second photo you can appreciate how dark the night is.

Notes:

For National Moth Week 2016
