Description:

Pale-rayed Skipper. There are moths and there are butterflies, then there are skippers! This is the Pale Rayed Skipper. I remember how special I felt for being able to photograph this sweet creature.

Habitat:

Found in the Trans-Pecos region of the Chihuahuan desert near an arroyo.

It's definitely a skipper butterfly, not a moth. This is my best guess based on skippers from your area. Please double check before updating
