Peregrine Falcon

Falco peregrinus

Description:

Fastest bird - with diving speeds up to/over 200 mph

Habitat:

Left on their own, without our disturbance (development) of their habitat, they like cliffs. They have learned to adapt to nesting on our bridges and high rise buildings.

Notes:

Spotted at the beach on a power line at 4:15pm on Halloween. My experience is I seldom see them so low or close to people and/or residential properties, as was the case with this one. It was across the street from rows of residential homes.
