How cool, I've never seen a hoverfly do that... amazing how much they look like bees!

I'd be inclined to agree, were it not for this fly's total lack of flying skill

it only did that stretched abdomen thing once, the rest of the time it was stubby like a bee/fly

Wow, that's really unusual, don't think I've ever seen anything like that! My guess is some kind of hoverfly, but never seen one with the stinger-type thing!
