Alopochen aegyptiacus
This species will nest in a large variety of situations, especially in holes in mature trees in parkland. The female builds the nest from reeds, leaves and grass, and both parents take turns incubating eggs. Egyptian Geese usually pair for life.
Found mostly in the Nile Valley and South of the Sahara. This particular one was photographed in Sydney's Taronga Zoo

They are a lovely bird, found all over Africa, but not in Australia (outside of zoos, that is).
Thanks for the ID :-)
Hi :-) this one was found in Sydney's Taronga Zoo.
Looks like an Egyptian goose on a nest. Was this in a zoo or near a park?
