Thanks, for the information, it would be a wonderful adventure of a life time to find one of that creature and not just reading about it.And I guest because of the adaptation of that lizard to foil it's enemy they name it tongue twisting name Scleroporus olivaceus genus:Phynosoma. And who ever name it have no sense of humor !

This is not a Horned Lizard (Genus Phrynosoma), but the Texas Spiny Lizard (Scleroporus olivaceus). Spiny lizards do not squirt blood from their eyes.

That lizard does not have those protruding spiny scale of that lizard that could squirt blood in the eye . I wonder if that to could do that considering it has the same name ?

Common names are always a bit of a problem, but this doesn't look like a horned toad, which is the lizard that can squirt blood from its eyes. This may be a spiny lizard (Sceloporus olivaceus), but I'm just guessing. Will be interesting to see what others come up with. See http://martysohlphoto.com/myblog/?p=55.

Have you observe these creatures squirt blood from their eyes when they are chase by their enemy?
