This is a Redwood Tree. They are the tallest trees in the world.

Habitat:

Central Coast of California to Northern Coast of California. Wetter coastal areas with lots of rain.

Notes:

This was taken on a drive back up the California coast from Eureka. Being out among them is an experience I especially enjoy.
