western lowland gorilla

Description:

the home range of the western lowland gorilla averages from 3 to 10 miles. they are not territorial and neighboring groups sometimes overlap. they are the smallest subspecies of gorilla. males are usually around 5'7" when standing erect and weigh around 400lbs. they diet includes plants some insects and small turtles. males can eat 20lbs. a day

Habitat:

subspecies of the western gorilla (Gorilla gorilla) the western lowland gorilla inhabits montane, primary, and secondary forests and lowland swamps in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon

So they ran out of species names for the gorilla? Or they liked it so much they named it three times.
