Great white shark, one of at least four observed during cage diving with the sharks in Gansbaai in South Africa.

Habitat:

California to Alaska, the east coast of the United States, coastal Gulf of Mexico, Hawaii, coasts of South America, South Africa, Australia (except the north coast), New Zealand, Mediterranean Sea, West Africa to Scandinavia, Japan, and the eastern coastline of China to Russia

You are totally right about them. And cage diving is on my to-do list!

The most awesome part was getting into the cage in the water with them just before these shots were taken. Though the visibility wasn't great, though it meant that when you could actually see them under water they were really close. Good view from above the water though. A fantastic and much misunderstood creature.
