Coccothraustes vespertinus
The Evening grosbeak is a songbird in the finch family Fringillidae. Compact, short tail, and strong bill. Mostly orange-yellow with black wings and large white patches on the back. Yellow forehead.
Spotted at Lake Easton State Park. Coniferous forest.

Yes. I tried getting different views. Of course he flew away before I could. My first of this species.
He must believe that his right side is more photogenic - what a sweetie!
