Description:

A meduim sized goose, typically white, which gives it it's name.

Habitat:

Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, New Mexico.

Notes:

Tens-of -thousands of these geese over-winter at BdA, and make quite the clammor when they take off at dawn.

Yep, all crucial issues. And in some areas it was groups like Steelheaders and Ducks Unlimited that started protecting crucial habitat long before the government got on board, so recreational hunters and fishers can be a good part of the overall equation.

Thanks, I don't eat critters, but I don't mind hunting if it's done with respect for the animals (I've added another shot).
