Spotted in the Fundy Bay off the coast of Maine 2010. We departed from Gleasons Cove, Perry, Maine and within an hour saw him making full breaches out of the water.

No problem! Fin whales definitely have similar colouration to minkes, and if you get a lot in your area, it's easy to mix them up :) Minkes are cute though, we get a lot over here, especially up near Scotland. And again, this is a fabulous picture!

I'm fairly certain this is a minke whale, as they're the only baleen whales that can fully breach like this :) If you google search minke whales, you'll find pics like this! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minke_whale... A fin whale is a little too big for antics like that ;) But regardless, amazing capture!!
