Description:

About 20 mm long. We didn't want to bother it so we didn't measure the wingspan.

Habitat:

The area is mixed forest beside a 30 ft deep lake. The nearby shore includes marshy patches.

Notes:

The background of this picture is a pale green wooden deck of a cottage. We've not seen this little fella before. From my reading it seems to be a little off course. We saw this moth two days in a row, but not since.
