Dolomedes dondalei

Dolomedes dondalei

Description:

Fairly large spider 50-60mm across. I think it may be a nursery web spider but would love any suggestions.

Habitat:

In native forest beside a fast running stream. We were beside a pool/waterfall. Found creeping across the ground.

Hi Mary, a Dolmedes dondalei again I think. Our native wolf spiders can look very similar to the nursery webs in colouration but are generally considerably smaller. Nice images and great spotting.
