Description:

This is a large, long-legged brown shorebird with a long, strongly down-curved bill. The back is light-colored as is the rump.

Habitat:

Shorelines, wetlands, ponds. Breeds in the Arctic while wintering along coastlines around the world.

Notes:

This photo was taken near the helipad on the Dry Tortugas National Park.
