American Robin

Turdus migratorius

Description:

Large thrush, dark grey above, orange below, white eye-ring, yellow beak.

Habitat:

Nesting about five feet off the ground in a fairly sparse tree by a path through an urban waterfront park (not a well-secluded spot for a nest!). Close to the shoreline of the lake.

Notes:

Spotted around 5:45pm. This seemed to be a male bringing food to his mate while she sat on the nest.
