Azalea

Rhododendron sp.

Description:

flowers smaller than a rhododendron, born more singly, leaves ovate

Habitat:

garden, temperate climate

Notes:

These were the largest azalea plants I've ever seen, most being evergreen but the yellow one is deciduous. They were planted many decades ago on the Oregon State University campus in front of the Women's Building.
