Invasive species of mussels
You're absolutely right Gordon, quagga and zebra mussels are both an invasive species here in the Great Lakes, and have caused significant environmental concern with far reaching effects on the ecosystem.
I'm not familiar with Great Lake mussels, but I'm wondering if these aren't quagga mussels, which are an exotic invasive species.
