Garden eel

Heteroconger cobra

Description:

They live in holes they make in sandy bottoms of the sea. At first they look like Posidonia algae in the far distance. Then, when you get close you realize they are in fact little eels! You have to approach very slowly because they will see you and hide in miliseconds. With this one I was very lucky :-)

Habitat:

Sandy floors of the oceans.
