Mycalesis perseus
Dark brown upper wing. Under side dull brown with a white line running across both front and hind wings in wet seasonal form. A marginal series of eyespots of varying sizes running across both wings are outside this line. In dry seasonal form these eyespots are reduced to indistinct spots. The white line is absent or pale brown or thin.
It has jerky low flight among grasses and undergrowth. Active during morning and evening.
