Hi Aonach. I love she-oaks. We have Coastal, Black, and Necklace she-oaks on our place. What is especially interesting about them is that the phylodes (leafs or needles) are actually the little scales on the joints of the "needles". The needles are actually branches. Also, they are sexed, as in She-oaks are either she-oaks or 'he-oaks' and don't produce both pollen and ova like most trees.
