Hi -- I would suggest this is a Leaf eating beetle (Family Chrysomelidae; probably genus Paropsis) rather than a Ladybug Coccinellidae. Here is a Google images search for that genus:http://www.google.com.au/search?tbm=isch... Ladybeetle adults and larvae are predacious, in particular on aphids whereas Chrysomelids can be pest leaf eating beetles.Cheers -- Ken
