Eurypegasus draconis.
Small fish about 10 cm long. Shed their skin in one piece with a rapid jumping motion to rid themselves of accumulated ballast.
Native to tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean. It lives in lagoons often among algal or seagrass beds but can also be found on sand or silt bottoms, frequently in bays or estuaries. They are opportunistic feeders and prey on crustaceans and worms. Adults usually in monogamous pairs with close-pair bonding.
