Description:

The wingspan is 45-55 mm.

Habitat:

Rainforest. There are 2 species in the genus Aterica - galene which is distributed throughout tropical Africa, and rabena which is endemic to Madagascar.

Notes:

I spotted this beside a stream near Mountain Paradise Lodge in eastern Ghana.
