Welcome to Project Noah. This is a cool looking insect. alaynahuter, now that you have the correct ID for your spotting, you can go to 'edit this spotting' in the upper right corner and click on it. There you can add the latin name and common name -short-winged blister beetle, so this won't be an 'unknown spotting' any more.
