Opuntia ficus-indica
cactus with very sweet fruits and nasty pricks
Marocco next to a road at the atlas mountains. It's a very dry area with a lot of rocks.
I'm not a specialist for it, therefor I ask the locals...

Thanks. You are right. You should wear good gloves if you take them otherwise you will remember the painfull sweetnes of the fruit for long. :-)
Awesome picture! I ate some of these once and their really tasty if not for the thousand little thorns on each of the spots (:
