there is also a nice story with the picture, because on my travels in Mongolia whe saw first the blue sign( picture 2) and whe stopped the car to make some pictures of the black kite's, and there where 3 birds sitting on the sign first, but 1 flown away. and to see 3 birds so close together was a nice and rare view. when everyone had good shot's whe went on. and after 5 meters whe saw about 15 birds sitting there together. about 11 on the log en more on the ground. whe saw about 20 totaly in maybe 10 minute's. and the normal average is about 3 or 4 birds of prey on a lucky day.

In the Strait of Gibraltar is easy to see a lot of Black Kites in the migration periods, but no so many of them at the same time.

the 3 picture i uploaded is not so clear, but on the right side of the wood work there are also birds sitting on the ground.
They may be waiting for the mice and other rodents to populate the fields and are taking a lunch break :)
no these are realy wild kite's.
it's a rare view to see them together.
but i have seen in it before.
but there are 11 on the log en also you can see 2 on the ground, but there where more. i will ad a extra picture with less zoom.

Nice assembly of raptors. I really love birds of prey!
Likely a kind of dove, close to our mourning dove, but yet not the same.
Bas, my 14 year old grandson, Micah, who lives in Virginia has had a great interest in Mongolia and that is one reason I want to keep up with your pictures.
