Hibiscus tiliaceus
One of the hypothetical parent species of the well-loved Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. I unwittingly mistook this for Coccoloba uvifera (which is all too different) a couple of times, so I took a picture to serve as a reminder. It's flowers are yellow and large; too bad I missed the bloom.
Supposed to thrive in beaches, but this particular tree was planted long ago in the garden
