Trap Jaw Ant

Description:

Odontomachus, but don't know which species. I think she might have been a young queen looking for a nesting site.

Notes:

Taken using a home made macro setup.

Whoops.

I used a reverse lens setup, with a Tamron 28-300mm@300 set at f/40 attached to the camera body (Nikon D300), and a reversed Canon 55mm f/1.2 set at f/1.2, with a Nikon SB600 set at full power providing the light.

I too would like to see how you made your macro setup. Neat.
