Description:

A Fly that was truly hypnotic by constantly swirling it's wings while walking about. The wings had an eye-like pattern above the stripes. It was 3 mm long. Family Platystomatidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
